Why is it easier for americans to buy food thats not good for us then to buy food thats good for us?
I wondered Why was it easier to go to a fast food place and get an entire meal for about six dollars. A meal meaning ur main item, a side dish and something to drink, but not be able to take that same amount of money and get something much healthier. it makes it seams like america doesnt want us to be healthier. the main argument would be that we have the choice weather or not we have to get the fast food making it our fault. but when theres almost atleast 1 fast food place on every block on new york city, its cheaper and it the taste is very satisfying how are we expected to really make the better decision when there isnt a fair option.
My answer to this question would be that its much cheaper for fast food companies to make more of man made products that cost much less and add hundreds of ingediants and chemicals to it so that it taste really good and make us want to keep buying it because its cheap and taste good. i also think its a mental thing, that because we keep the memory in our heads that we enjoyed it and it didnt cost alot of money it will always stay an option for us. This point is also made in the Movie Super Size me Directed by & featured Morgan Spurlock showing how living on an all fast food diet is deadly to someones life & also showing how easy it was for him to become unhealthy very quickly.
In internets answer for why this is "Although many people find it hard to afford fresh fruits and vegetables for their family, the U.S. government can help by supplying Food Stamps and coupons that are redeemable at farmers markets to those in need."
The key word in that sentence being "MANY"
