Animal Unit paper

Explain and analyse the most important of the 6 cultural obstacles to seeing ourselves as animals - explain and analyse the most important of the 4 benefits of seeing ourselves as animals for living a good and meaningful life. Conclude with your perspective, perhaps including additional obstacles and/or benefits.

For millions of years Humans and animals have Co-Existed. We are seperated by different parts of the world and in most cases we are sepertaed by man made things like cages and inclosed habitats. Between Humans and Animals our main goal is survival. We both live off the same basics of shelter, food and water. We also depend on companionship in order to reproduce and to feel happy that we arent alone. Obstacles for knowing that we are animals is that we cannot change we follow a system. There is a certain way we need to act around one another especially in school. Us as students dont have the option of running around and interacting with each other the way we want to because there are rules. Having to contain being ureself as an animal is fustrating when you want to go outside and be active with other people/animals.
The suck part about us being animals is that we cant really communicate with other animals that arent human like us. We can try to decode what other animals forms of communications mean but we can never really know exactly what there thinking or what they are talking about with other animals like themselfs. Being animals we need a way to eat and survive. the downfall is us Humans eat animals. So us being animals we are really eating each other.
The major downfall of being an animal is that we cant really show that we are animals at all. its alright when were little kids because were not really aware of the world and our intensions are just to be free and have fun, doing things that make us happy. No system yet to follow.

If it ever came down to where animals and Humans had to live together and survive together i think the animals would eat us all. animals seam to be very aware of us being around them and become teritorial of there space. we would end up getting eaten and killed. I think animals live on the principle of natural selection, that only the strongest will survive. survival of the fittest. so in the case that we all hade to survive together the animals arent going to worried about us they are going to worried about themselfs and alot of animals are natural predators that will kill us in a minute. it isnt really a fair fight.

Im totally taking this from andy but like he said if other animals can go extinct so can we. Humans have seamed to out live alot of animals that have lived on this earth and died out so we have a good chance of living on alot longer but theres always the possibility something will happen and all humans/animals will be gone. what will be left on our planet?. the cockroches because they always seam to adapt to all living situation(lol)

-A benefit of being an animal is that we all have the same intensions and instincts. Our intensions are to surivive and be happy. we want to be active with each other and interact. we learn from each other when we interact and it makes us happy to be natural instead of conforming ourselfs to be uptight people at school. sitting in a chair for hours everyday isnt very stimulating. getting up and moving our bodies seams to always makes us happy because it naturally what we want to do.

The first activity we did in class was play a game called "rabbit". choosing 3 people as the rabbits and we had to run around and catch them. it made everyone feel atleast one point higher on there happy scale because we had a goal and we used our natural animalistic behaviors to do so and it was better then sitting in a chair learning about stuff that wasent stimulating our minds in a fun way.

The second activity we did was rolling people over our bodies trying to get them from one point to another. that activity was really fun because we all had to work as a team in order to get the person from A to B and we were moving our bodies and had to use our minds to think about how we were going to this.

My own perspective on the animal unit is that it really has me thinking alot more about how we are really animals. we may do things differently but in ways its exactly the same. when an animal becomes agressive because another animal is invading its space they warm the aother another animal or fight and kill them. when someone is invading our space we get mad as well we just do it in such a violent way. i wonder if animals are looking at us the same way we are looking at them. wondering how we communicate.
